What’s In a Name Part II

Arrgh!

I’d like to post an exceprt from this particular post in my archives:

What’s in a name.

Why?

Sometimes I have this ill feeling every time I read my name…misspelled. Aargh! :-)  What can I do? Give out a smirk.

Ernest /= Earnest

I love my name, but…

Now here’s a link, I’d like you to check out and look for my name: http://www.boholchronicle.com/2007/aug/19/comm4.htm

Were you able to find it? Of course you can’t. Why?

Here’s the premise: Ernest Dale Acar IS NOT THE SAME AS Ernest Deleacar! Pity me, my friends, for I am again a victim of losing my name in the "published."

Erratum please.

(Cue evil, maniacal laugh) Poor guy. Its just your luck that a portion of your name is a body part, a common one at that, which is probably why people keep using that spelling when referring to your name.
Don’t worry, you know who your real friends are because they wont be calling you Earnest after so many frustrated admonitions from you. ;) Come to think of it, I was guilty of calling you “Earnest” waaay back in grade 4 hehe. Guess people are still learning!

  2. Joselle Says:

Correction: a portion of your name SOUNDS like a body part, heheh. Grrr i need to get me some sleep!

  3. Ernest Dale Says:

What? What body part? :-) So you remembered Grade 4. What happened then? ;-)
